Chris Compton
Director of Outreach & Governance, Central Fraud & Abuse Risk, Microsoft
Chris Compton is the Director of Outreach & Governance at Microsoft's Central Fraud & Abuse Risk group. He leads several teams in developing fraud policy standards and engaging with cross-sector private and public organizations. Chris has spent the majority of his career shaping tech company’s fraud detection and prevention strategies across its cloud infrastructure. Prior to Microsoft, he was the Director of Anti-Fraud & Anti-Abuse at Oracle, where he founded Oracle’s first dedicated anti-fraud team and architected Oracle's fraud detection strategy. His career also spans roles at AWS, Alert Logic, and MITRE, where he specialized in security, threat intelligence, and operational strategy. Chris holds an M.S. from George Washington University and B.S. from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
